Geophysical surveys using helicopters for carriage of underslung electromagnetic sensors suspended on a long line is a highly specialized aerial task. Aerial geophysical survey with helicopters is carried out at low flight envelopes and demands great accuracy coupled with extremely high pilot-skill levels. Deccan is the only helicopter operator in the country which has successfully carried out numerous geophysical surveys since 2001 for various large multinational mining companies and Government organizations.

Deccan is familiar and experienced in long-line work and has pilots who have undergone training in Australia for this specialized aviation activity and therefore would be the only operator with the professional expertise to carry out such tasks to meet the aerial survey needs of clients.
